Tucker Hill Inn Bed and
Breakfast opened originally in 1923 as a "Tea Room". Known then
as "Lift the Latch Inn", it became one of the premier catering houses
in Connecticut for some 30 years. Many weddings and social affairs were
held here and many a bride has descended the winding staircase within
the entrance foyer.
In
1985, Rich and Susan Cebelenski purchased the property. Renamed the
"Tucker Hill Inn", the doors were opened as a charming bed and
breakfast inn for all to enjoy.
Tucker Hill Inn is a gracious New England
Colonial home situated on lovely grounds that are lightly shaded by
ancient oaks and maples in Middlebury, CT. It is a setting suggesting
rural life, yet the location is convenient to downtown business and
shopping. In the surrounding area are many antique shops and flea
markets.
At a premier location for pleasure or
business the "Tucker Hill Inn" is located at the foot of the Litchfield
Hills. Centrally located between New York City (less then two hours)
and Boston, "Tucker Hill" is easily accessible from either location as
a final destination point or mid-way stop.
We think you will agree that
the Litchfield Hills area of Connecticut is possibly the most beautiful
spot in the entire state.
